This 19" purpleheart tray is from a board 8' long and 20" wide, the most beautiful piece of purpleheart I have ever seen.

This piece was for sale, but sold through a gallery in Annandale, VA, to a fellow crafter, a potter who fell in love with it at first sight. Purpleheart is very dense wood and the tray is quite heavy, even though only about 3/8" thick. I am not sure she is going to use it as a tray and may just leave it propped up on a display stand for all to see!
