This bowl has the disctinctive "feather" grain pattern of a crotch and a bark inclusion

There are many places within a tree where the grain pattern shows special patterning. One of the best is in the fork of a branch, or a crotch piece. As the tree grows and the fork expands, the transition grain between the two branching limbs from the main limb creates a beautiful pattern which woodturners refer to as a feather. This piece has that feather pattern and also has a large bark inclusion in the wood which I have incorporated into this bowl. This piece is 12" across and 4 1/2" high.
